The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91˛Öżâ is excited to announce its 2024-2025 season, featuring a diverse lineup of performances that promise to captivate and entertain audiences throughout the upcoming year. This season’s theme, “The Stage is Set for Your Entertainment,” highlights an array of shows designed to offer something for everyone. .
Season ticket packages are currently on sale by calling the Whatley Center Box office at 903-434-8181. Individual ticket sales begin September 9th and seats can be purchased online at .
“I’m very excited about this year’s season lineup and I think our patrons are in for a real treat. Ticket prices for concerts have risen drastically nationwide and we worked hard to bring you top-tier talent at a very affordable price, with none of our tickets costing more than $50. Purchasing a season ticket package offers even more value,” Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, said.
The 2024 Whatley Center lineup will include:
Entertainment Series (included in all season ticket packages):
- kicks off the season on October 8, 2024, bringing her renowned country music talent to our stage.
- Christmas with follows on December 9, 2024, featuring celebrated tenor Daniel Rodriguez in a festive and heartwarming holiday performance. This show is sponsored by Cypress Bank.
- will bring their smooth styling that blends R&B classics with the fresh hits of today on February 7, 2025.
- : A Musical Tribute to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons will take you back in time on a musical journey on March 11, 2025. This performance is sponsored by Drs. Mary White and Brad Scharf.
Special Events (included in the Producer and Executive Producer season ticket packages):
- The Funny Life Comedy Tour will stop at the Whatley Center on February 15, 2025. A native Texan and viral sensation, William Lee Martin will return to the Whatley for a hilarious evening of fun. This show is sponsored by Kaye and J.T. Brison.
- Country music legend will perform on April 1st, 2025. Look forward to an amazing night celebrating his iconic anthem “God Bless the USA” and many other hits from his storied career. Lee Greenwood’s performance is sponsored by Texas Heritage National Bank.
Additionally, the Whatley Center will revive its popular Sounds of Northeast series that celebrates local musical talent. This series will include:
- RokDox, a classic rock horn band on January 25, 2025
- A contemporary gospel concert by Jimmy Smith, Jr. on February 23, 2025.
- The Mount Pleasant Community Orchestra on April 12, 2025
Theatre Northeast, led by Dr. Page Petrucka, will also present two student productions: Wait Until Dark (November 14-16, 2024) and The Importance of Being Earnest (April 24-26, 2025). The NTCC Art department will host six free art exhibits in the Whatley Center’s foyer.
