Santa took time out of his busy schedule to bring Christmas cheer to 91²Ö¿â last week! The man himself visited the Student Union Building on December 5th and 6th to take photos with kids of all ages. He also brought some of his elves to serve milk and cookies and make fun Christmas crafts.
Have you ever noticed pocket gopher mounds dotting the campus? They represent Geomys breviceps, Bairdâs pocket gopher. Isabel Tresidder, a student enrolled in a NTCC Independent Biology Research class this semester under the tutelage of Dr. Chris McAllister, is studying parasites of pocket gophers on the NTCC Campus.
91²Ö¿â Athletic Trainer Justin Hargrove will be one of four Athletic Trainers and two Physicians inducted into the East Texas Athletic Trainers Association (ETATA) Hall of Honor on January 11, 2025 at the ETATA Annual Student Athletic Trainer workshop to be held at East Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas.
The 91²Ö¿â Foundation recently received a grant for $25,000 from the Ray H Marr Foundation. The funds are designated to provide scholarships for students pursuing an education in high-demand workforce programs. The 91²Ö¿â Police Department officially added its second commissioned officer on Thursday, Dec. 5th. Gregory Hollingsworth was sworn in by Chief Russell Radke as Staff Sergeant.
Hollingsworth has more than 24 years of experience in law enforcement. He recently retired as a state trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety and he was previously Chief of Police in Winnsboro.
