Quilt exhibit coming to the Whatley Center in November

Quilts by local quilters will hang in the Whatley Center foyer in what is now an annual tradition for the NTCC art department. For the eighth year, quilters will bring their treasured art to share with the community. The exhibit will run from Friday, Nov. 8th through Monday, Nov. 25th. A reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13th at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center foyer, and refreshments will be served.

The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular business hours, but please call ahead to 903-434-8181 to ensure the gallery is open.

PTK students explore local folktales at the annual Bigfoot Conference in Jefferson

On October 19, Phi Theta Kappa students Alison Majors, Skylar Hodson, Sarah Dierflinger, Noah Pettey, Jordan Berkley, Remington Covey, Tristan Dierflinger, Araceli Landaverde, and Jose Fuentes traveled to Jefferson TX for the 22nd annual Bigfoot Conference. Jefferson has been dubbed both “the most haunted town in Texas” and the “Bigfoot Capitol of Texas,” and so it was the perfect place for our chapter to continue their research on local folktales.
